^^ It's simple, you're wasting your time trying to calculate torque. In no way will this help you decide on a motor for a boat.

On metric Units it is much more easy:
M = Power in Watts / Rps Roundings per second. The result is in Newton times metres (Nm) Captayne |

I use a torque measuring tool.
I pinch the motor shaft between 2 fingers tightly. Then go to WOT . If I smell Bacon Fat it is good. If I scream loudly. FANTASTIC motor. |
