has anyone used the aluminum wing bolts from Esprit Models? Do you like them? Are they better than the nylon?

My understanding is a metal bolt in a metal blind nut typically will back out on its on, the nylon tends to reduce that.

You can put a rubber washer on the aluminum screw, or silicon rubber on the inside of the fuselage where the screw will seat against it....

Has anyone tried the Glacier batteries from EP Buddy - Hobbypartz are out of the GensAce 4s 4000 25C batteries again?

Need some more batteries for the 57 SC Extra

I have a friend who has been flying them for the past 3 months. He loves them so far. No puff, consistent power throughout his flights (he only draws them down to about 50%- he isn't and LVC guy...). But he IS very happy with them.

the esprit model ones come with a rubber washer and are pretty nice, at $9 for a pair i guess they should be. I was just curious if the are that much better than the nylon wing bolts.

I have 150 flights between 6 of the Glacier packs for my 47"SHP and I found them every bit as good as my Gens Ace. Much better company to deal with too

i believe they are identical to the gens ace packs (at least they look exactly the same) check out haiyin packs while your at it as well.

Actually if you look at the glacier packs and the gens ace side by side you will see there is a definite difference in the way they are put together. The glaciers have a plug guard on the balance plug so you are less likely to pull the wires out. There is a plate on either end of the glaciers also which seems to make them less likely to get punctured in any unfortunate event that may arise. As for the cells, I believe the glaciers are more accurate on their c ratings. Both very good brands and I have both in many of my higher end planes. Win Win with either in my opinion. I do however wish the glaciers would come in a wider variety of sizes
