I probably have had the numbers mixed up but I am using Mission Planner 1_3_19 and am now ready to see how it goes in a quadcopter.

Thanks but looks like I'll have more questions when I get further into it.

Speaking of MP, it stopped alerting me to updates with 1.3.17. Is there something I have to do to get the alerts again?

I think their update server is a bit flaky, sometimes mine skips updates too. If you click the help tab there's a 'check for updates button' down at the bottom.

Cheers,

If you are willing to replace it with an AMS1117-33, you can find plenty on eBay (and super cheap, less than a 1$ each)

Slightly harder to solder, but much cheaper (and less likely to blow again) http://diydrones.com/xn/detail/705844:Comment:1261140 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...ostcount=19611
