setting right thrust

Is there a rule of thumb as to how must right thrust to offset the motors

There is no way to calculate it that I'm aware of. About 3 degrees is usually there or thereabouts. Make final adjustment as result of flight testing.

Or don't use any, and instead rig a 'touch' of right rudder.
