Ya, I'm already scouting locations.
This one's a little tight through.

I'm impressed. Doubt I would have made it through one pass.

What a great opportunity for a propeller manufacturer sponsorship.

You aren't kidding. I went through about 4-5 props messing around in the Aspen grove for
30 minutes. I'd like to find some place that's bigger/faster, like in the racing vid above, but it's tough to
find a spot like that in Colorado that isn't infested with people.

Andrew:

I spent three days over in Cavendish in PEI. Mainly kayaking and eating shellfish. No planes this trip as I'm with three other couples. It appears there'd be good wind for slop'in, but not many slope opportunities. Maybe some sea cliffs? What town were you from?

Murray River on the east end about 60 - 70 miles from Cavendish. It's about 11 miles from the ferry crossing. Cavendish is a fun place.

Tallest slope on the Island is about 40 feet coastal site. It's on private land. Believe it or not some local, para glides it. It's on the south shore next to a boyscout camp and golf course. I've flown several spots close to where I grew up as well as some spots near Souris. I've also flown lots of dunes and even DS'd around the north shore beaches.

What servos might you recommend for a Libelle? I just ordered the DLG from Dream-Flight and understand that the servos they used to sell are substandard.

Hitec 5035's work great if you can get them. I have two that I need to return to the store and there maybe a third one there. Still need one more. They are kind of pricey but they work well.

I have some dirt cheap Spektrum servo's in mine. A decision that I am certain I will regret at a point sooner or later.

I have some dirt cheap Turnigy 1440A 4.4g servos in my Libelle, a decision which I do not regret one bit.

They'll take full power launches, anything you can throw at it in the air, and normal Zion landings.
I stripped a couple in a full 50ft straight to earth crash (pulled plug to Rx on the launch), but at $4 apiece,
I don't much care.
