OK, it's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. for some unfathomable reason, i have wanted to build one of these things for years. Anybody have a plan or know where i might obtain one?

I think that Ray's got the rights at Skybench, but hasn't had time to develop a kit yet. Dunno if he can supply plans or not?

Gordy's Shuttle has a set of laser cut SD7035 wing ribs I had around that takes a carbon tube spar and aluminum joiners. I'm sure they will flex when pushed but shouldn't break. This was the first launch so it looks like he was just wanting to get it in the air.

Hey, one of the champions on that box is my Dad!

I knew he won, but I didn't know he got put into the marketing materials!

(He still has some original kits, and lots of airframe parts..)

I recall seeing an eBay listing from Ray a few years ago listing one set of Shuttle 78 plans but there were no takers.

The Shuttle design does grow on you as it has for me. It's on the short list, hopefully.

I knew that Frank was a great fan of the Legionair when he lived in Huntsville but neve saw him fly a Shuttle. Was that after he moved to Colorado?

rdeis Which event did your dad win? the 74 ama nats or the 75 soar nats ? The Legionairs
were great flying sailplanes and also fast (77 fai world speed record). Anybody know how to find out what the record was and who did it? Bill

There was no AMA Nats until 1976 and Frank won the 75 SOAR Nats. I was there to watch him win. Maybe Frank or someone will tell what happened to his design that should have won best original design at the 74 SOAR Nats.
