Thanks, did you cut the foam bridge out of the way? seems like sliding a battery under it would be ideal but the hole is to small for any kind of 4S to fit. or did you glue the ply to the bridge with it sticking back toward the fire wall???Thanks

I glued a balsa platform to the bottom of the battery tray and then ran a Velcro strap under that. Bridge was cut out. Also Motion RC has the spinners here

For anyone that would like to know, FMS are bringing out a 1400mm P-40B!!
As announced by Diamond Hobby a couple of days ago in the 'FMS Giant Warbirds' thread.

With the above statement, that may also mean FMS's may use some new retracts. Which may mean updated retracts for this plane!

Bps, does that bridge supply any kind of structural support for the fuselage? Just wondering if I remove it should I glue a couple of balsa or carbon spars across there but a little higher up so I can get a battery in an out fairly easy. Thanks for the info!

If you glue a balsa wood floor in to put the battery on then you have improved the structure even though removing the bridge. Its just foam and glued together in the middle, not much strength there.
