best electronics?

Here is my configuration:

t-rex 450
EC135 scale fuse

I plan to put a 4 blade scale head on it.
it has a Turnigy 2800kv motor and a CC 35 amp ESC.

What would be the best stablization system for it for scale like flying? Hands off hover ?

Many thanks

sajeev:

For your size, most of the smaller 3axis gyros will do the job nicely without breaking the bank. I have used many and for the money, the AR7200BX will work very nicely. You will need to mechanically phase the head or have a plug n' play head. Your radio will be the best determining factory for your gyro choice. Hands 0ff Hover is not a function of the gyro but directly caused by the proper setup of the head, servos, and tail. Balance point is important too, but for most flying, scale helicopters have tended to be setup slightly nose heavy for better forward flight characteristics. Hope this helps.

Thanks Don. I assume with the BX receivers I don't need a gyro for the tail?

Correct, it's a full blown FBL system.

Sounds like you didn't do the blade phasing properly. There are lots of posts on this forum about how to set the phasing up so have a look for them and see if that is where your problem stems from. Simple way to check, put one blade directly over the boom and push forward on the elevator stick. There should be no movement of the blade at all. If there is, your phasing is wrong and needs to be setup. Take care.

i did phase it. Here is a video i made yesterday of the play in the swash lock assembly

HK 4 blade head play (0 min 58 sec)

but i think the problem is with the blades. i need to weigh them all and balance them. I will start over and more slowly this time.

Yes, there is a lot of play in that assembly. Start with trying to get the swash driver arms tighter to the washout base. If the driver can allow the swash to move too much, it will be hard to control. The blades must be balanced to weigh the same, and their center of gravity must also be in the same place for each blade. You need to be within .2gr of each other with small blades. A simple see-saw balancer from Align will let you get them pretty much spot on for static balance. One other thing that might help is to lower the swash driver on the main shaft a bit. At zero pitch, it should have the arm level to the swash. Good luck with the work.

Hello hey try tightening up your Swash driver is where the brass fitting is that's where all your slop is I have worked with those heads many of times I have 4 of them now I am using weighted Blades with mine though You will need a 1.5MM hex head to tighten it up. And by the way you would do a lot better with a 40amp ESC and a 4cell Batt because of it being so tail Heavy but it will work with a 3Cell just have to add more weight here's mine
EC-135 new footage (5 min 3 sec)

There already is a Hex nut their I told you wrong its not the Brass fitting its the screw that go' thru it and here's where I got the weighted Blades http://www.scaleflying.com/Symmetric...5-_p_1072.html now if your going to use these Blades you can not use them with a FBLs system I do not have a FBLs system on my Heli's but I have grown accustomed to flying mine that way it can be a hand full at times so if you want to take it easy I would Recommend getting the FBL's System. Oh and by the way the Motor can handle the 40amp it will actually run cooler this is the motor I use http://www.hobbypartz.com/60p-dym-0011.html and its a 2750KV I am running a 13tooth Pinion I am using 5 of these Motor's in my Scale Heli's but the motor you have should be good enough. Hey I have a B400 inside of mine Check out my Channel on youtube you can see all my Planes and Heli's Name: 100_1564.JPG
