Hobby King BOLT 4.35 VOLT LIPO's - Possibilities ! Update Graph !

I ran a flight on each and data logged them as well w/ Castle Edge ESC

Nice Boost in the Voltage curve and subsequent Amps and Watts

More flights planned for tomorrow

-I was afraid that I foolishly, impulsively clicked "order now"

-But I'm not feeling very foolish now

-rather excited

Hi Bob,

On my 6 cell, 80 to 90 amp application,

I'm seeing a 15 to 20 % increase in watts, I could post the graphs from Castle ESC, but I'm sure someone else will do a better job of posting data graphs.

1800 to 2200 W

2000 to 2400 W

I'm not sure if it will continue over time, but I hope so.

It might be great for 6 cell applications that need a little more juice when taking off from thick grass. One could possibly avoid going to a higher cell count system.

more tomorrow,

-DG

No reason it shouldn't as you are charging to the higher voltage. You are right, promising. Hope there aren't a new spate of house fires charging old packs on a charger reset to the higher termination voltage though

So, they can increase the flight time?
This means that each cell more mah?
Interesting ..

No they don't increase flight time. I think your flight time will be less, if the voltage is higher, on the same cells.

Lets take Dave's information
1800 to 2200
2000 to 2400

For the 1800 and 2000 i calculate whit top voltage of 4,2Vdc cell.
6S is then 25,2Vdc
1800 / 25,2 = 71.43A
2200 / 25,2 = 87,30A

For the 2200 and 2400 i calculate whit top voltage of 4,35Vdc cell
6S is then 26,1Vdc
2000 / 26,1 = 76,83A
2400 / 26,1 = 91,95A

When doing this calculation i think Dave's information is not accurated

When having this pack whit the same mAh in it than your other pack (not Bolt). Flied time will be down.
The motor will get 1Vdc more whit 6S, but amps will rise also.

Please Dave, check your information if your a right. Otherwise check your ESC if that will stand that Amps increase

Seems surprisingly silent around this LIPO's - unfortunately
Will test them after my vacation.

To my surprise they seem very light in weight?
Can that be?
