Based on the preference of TD hands down pylon.
Launching is way easier and perhaps even safer with the pylon. I am having to hold the model in front oft he leading edge to launch with the non-pylon mount as there is not enough room to hold it under the wing.
On landing the model often catches a tip and changes heading significantly which would affect landing scores as the wing is much lower to the ground as there is only .6 degrees of geometric dihedral.

There may be a slight weight reduction with the pylon mount due to less plywood/filler required but I think it would be insignificant.

I flew NORMM again yesterday. I ran the motor for just over 2 minutes and had 53 minutes of transmitter on time. I used about 1200mah in an 1800mah pack. I had several landings and relaunches. I added an ounce to the nose and she flies better now; just a little less pilot attention. She detects thermals much better than I had hoped she would. Lots of fun. A few very high speed passes, she sure sounds clean! It's almost like flying a 100" wingspan DLG. Lots of fun one on battery charge. The ESC/Motor/Battery are only slightly warm too.

Next trip out will be some serious 2 minute landing drills but she really handles well on approach, maybe better than Red Merle.

I had a difficult time seeing the wingtips in flight. I could easily see the black stripes but they were pretty far inboard to see slight rolling motion which aids in finding lift. So I fixed that yesterday.

Sailplane Calc

Hi Curtis,

You have referenced Sailplane Calc in some of you posts. Would you please provide a link for this? I am trying to determine the correct boom length for an E-Fuse I'm building.

Thank you!!
