New AQ50D re-calibrate for every Pack?

Is it just me or is it still necessary to re-calibrate after changing every battery

I haven't been able to do much testing yet but it does appear that it needs to be re-calibrated after changing the flight pack, I replaced the battery after a flight & went to fly again & it just wanted to flip sideways until I did the Calibration then it was OK.

cool place, i would go offroading there :-)
i see some wobbles when you go back . if they weren't caused by you with the controls, i would try lowering Again value in setup. I am using it at 6.4 now. it "snaps" less to level, usefull also with some wind.

Hi,

One of the major issue is when I lower the throttle to go down, the quad does not
remain stable ...

What could be the problem? gain value? pilot skill ;-)?

For instance there is an onboard video of Wathox when he does a drop of maybe 50 meters and the copter remains veeeeery flat!!!

yes, this board is the first i have flown that allows to just drop throttle and make the copter come down vertically without risking wobbling itself to death. Try reducing gain, at what position do you have pot ? i am at 9 o'clock at the moment.

I modify the gain using the software, do I have to change also the pot position?

yes, you should actually start by changing pot position first. From what i understand, software value is how strong the board will try to go back to level after banking. External pot instead is how much board will resist moving from level position to banked. If pot is too high you get wobble. Remember that pot is reversed, so to lower the value you must turn clockwise.

I don't understand, a flip is one side lifting off first

One side was spooling up faster but only after changing the battery.
