No, you cannot get a 2.5k resistor that I am aware of, take a look at your local electronics shop or online and find the closest value you can to what you need.

micro brushed car ESC form a servo board

Great Topic
Would like to give it a try but there are two more things that are missing:

1) What would be the maximum voltage handled (2S LiPo possible?),
2) What would be the maximum Amps handled by this micro ESC and if it's too low how and where to insert some FET's?

I'm trying to use this for an Iwaver 02m (1/24 car) modded for 2.4GHz

Thanks

1) Depends on the servo you use, most will accept a voltage of 2S.

2) Again, depends on your servo, could be a few amps.

If you were wanting to use this for a 1/24 car I would advise against it, it's a fairly large scale compared with what this tutorial was designed for, a 1/24 scale motor could be pulling a fair amount of power.

It is hard to find such small ESCs like in the tutorial, however have a look on eBay and I'm sure you'll find a few listings for new brushed ESCs that will fit fine with your scale.

Do you need any resistors or does it work with out them?

Is there a way to avoid reverse?
I would like to use it as a PWM-Analog converter.
So I could translate servo signal to analog voltage from 0v to 5v.

Hi, While waiting for parts from HK, I cut off a 70t03GH FET from an old computer board and used this as the only extra component to take the low current coming from the servo motor to drive a proportionally driven 5w light bulb. I am sure i could have used a higher current device if i had one ready.

I used the pot adjusted as best i could by hand as i had broken gears. I could not stop the motor from spinning rapidly but it did not matter.

So while my servo controller had a tiny area where the motor reduces power/voltage before reversing direction, my DX6 TX was easily able to enable me to have a smooth rise in voltage from zero to 4.89V across the entire throttle stick using just a large amount of subtrim and a throttle curve ending at 14%.

The FET was a fun device. You can for example turn the FET on and off just using your finger if you are near a person who is touching the other side of the circuit, but it works faster if your other hand touches the other side of the circuit.

Unfortunately once i had it prototyped and i resoldiered the FET it stopped working, and given the time and effort to cut these FETs off a board I decided to wait for the HK parts i needed rather than continuing what was seeming more and more like reinventing the wheel:-(
