OV-10, A-10 or a DC-10.

Seriously, an OV-10 with fpv in the cockpit and the ability to drop bombs.

An A-10 twin jet may be asking too much, but would be sweet. The Ov-10 would probably fly better though.

Just to be different how about a couple of old monocoupes?

The original Velie (sp?) Monocoupe and/or Lil Butch that's hanging in the Smithsonian. The Monocoupe was one hell of an airplane and is supposed to be the plane that inspired Benny Howard to design Mr. Mulligan which had a fantastic racing career. A four passenger cabin high wing monoplane that outperformed the hottest single seat racers of its day both around the pylons and cross country.

Yeah, that's a Monocoupe in my avatar.

Hi Pete! How's it going?

I'd definitely go for a Monocoupe. One of my dad's flying buddies had a Model 125 back in the mid-60s. I got to go up in it with dad once. I was around 11 or so at the time. That was my first flight in a radial-engined plane, and also my first flight in a side-by-side 2-seater. I remember that it was really fast for a 125 HP high-winger. Right up there with my dad's new 1966 Cessna 180, which cruised at ~165 MPH.

Hi Joel,

Not doing much flying. I've got an apartment full of airplanes, mostly UMX but my fiddle, flute, harp etc are the core of my social life. My flying buddy doesn't get to our club field except to play chef at our outdoor meetings. He needs yellow glasses and the right kind of sky to see his plane. He flies a Balsa USA 1/3rd scale cub but lugging it up for a club meeting when he's busy cooking doesn't work.

I got an FPV Vapor with goggles and two more of the sixty buck ones with cameras and no goggles. I plan to stick one cam in my Pitts and the other in my old, beat up MiG. The MiG still flies like it's on rails but is beat up enough that any cutting I have to do won't bother me. When I will get to fly this stuff I don't know but micro FPV looks like it's going to be fun.

I play mostly Irish music and there's a session every night of the week someplace reachable by subway and I've got friends, food, beer and music in most of these places.

Pete

It was a PT-22, but why would you want a crashed airplane?

Hobbyking's Ryan STA was configured about as close to Harrison's plane as you could get, (the balsa version not the EPO one).

I do see them selling parts still, but maybe not the whole plane. I had one, and it was a good but bit of a 'hot' flier -- maybe the wing loading was a tad high. Beautifully done, tho', it was part of their "Durafly" series.

DEFINITELY!

Now that they're releasing a UMX F-16, maybe a UMX F-18 Super Hornet with enough power to do a takeoff like that will be soon forthcoming?
