Planes and cake

I've invited people over this evening so we can get a shopping list together and start ordering equipment. Here it's almost law that coffee/tea must be accompanied by cake so I've baked cinnamon rolls for the occasion.

The models are the MacZips I built for the first indoor meet we had. They use AP-03 motor, 200mAh cell, 2x1.7gram servos, HK BL ESC and Orange RX. AUW around 28grams.

The MacZip is a nice airplane, I never built one, but should have...
So nice that you have started indoor flying again Michael!

The cinnamon rolls do look delicious. A friend's girlfriend is going to bake blueberry pie for tomorrow's flight... I`ll try to remember to post a pic of it!

The rolls must have been good. One guy ate 3.

I was going to offer this size MacZip as a kit but never got around to it before we left the UK. I think postage is too high to ship them from the Faroe Islands. A nice feature is that the cell sits at the CoG location so you can go from 50mAh to 240mAh cell without problems. They could do with a bit of decoration but I can't get suitable paint locally. I think I have some Solartrim somewhere though.

Sounds great.

While flying is great around here, there is very little social life associated with it.

I first have to get people interested in the hobby, then we need to order equipment, build models, teach people to fly etc. I'm currently the only source of info and experience. Keeping it social is inevitable. It's a nice way to get to know people as well. I'm actually quite introverted but my hobby gets me out of my shell.

That is a real challenge you have, but I`m sure you you will succeed with it!

The modell is a 50 cm/20" Afriel, weight is 36 grams. I run it on 1 cell, a 5 gram motor and I`m using a Lemon reciever without connectors.

This is what Lotta had to offer us tonight:

Looks delicious. I love vaniljsås. Nice model as well. One day I must get around to building something aerobatic like that. Probably won't be able to fly it though.
