Trumpeter 1:200 Nelson/Rodney

As seen on one of the other sites, Trumpeter is releasing a 1:200 Nelson/Rodney (not clear which if not both, I dunno the dif!)

http://new2.trumpeter-china.com/inde...how&id=36&l=en

Should be about the size of the 1:200 Arizona, about 39" long.

Well that's good news to follow through with something so unique in terms of design. It shows that they feel there is a large enough market for the scale. Now only if they'd consider something like Ise or Fusō class but that's a pipe dream given Trumpeter is Chinese.

The Nelson/Rodney is a pretty interesting ship to go along with the other 1/200 offerings so far. I guess there is enough of a market to keep making the big kits.

I'm hoping to have a small handful of the 1/200 vessels from different nationalities, but they are pretty $$$.

I wonder if they are going to do any cruiser classes? I would love to have a couple of those and a carrier to go with the BBs.

Wow for a Die cast

A Task group(WWII)
1 Carrier
2 Battleship
3-4 Cruisers
5-6 Destroyers

Every ship except the destroyer in scale 1:200

Maybe the Carrier would be to big at that scale ?

1/200 destroyers

Nichimo produced a range of 1/200 IJN destroyers which are long out of production but can be found on Ebay and kit reseller sites such as KingKit. I beli've trumpeter also produced a 1/200 Russian destroyer which was a lend-lease from the UK (can't remember what ship that was). Definitely going to order Nelson to go with the 1/200 Nichimo Yamato
