The retracts are great. Nice the way they open one at a time. Mine just flick open and closed the plain old boring way. I might add a servo slow at some stage. Main thing for me at the moment is getting the knack of landing this thing in one piece on our short strip.
HK retracts and oleo struts are halfway to australia. Looking forward to my second flight with this plane.
I had a momentary loss of sense and picked up an OS 110 FS and ordered the Hangar 9 Spitfire MKII, in the hope that it will be easier to land.
I have ordered another OS 110 FS for the Hangar 9 Mustang blue nose that i've had on order for near 3 months. These motors i am getting for $343.00 Aussie dollars!!
If anyone wants to know where from just let me know and i'll give u the details.

Ok well i have the HK electric retracts and the oleo struts from RC Warbirds. Problem i have is that the collar on the outside of the wheel axle hits the wing when retracted. Theres no clearance. I can find a way around this.....maybe source a more narrow wheel axle collar. Or source some thinner diameter wheels. I'm using the stock wheels at the moment. Alternatively i could beef up the retract housing to lift the retracts higher outside the wing to get clearance but i dont like that idea. What have u guys done to get around this?

I use thinner wheels. Link above somewhere. I use the robart axle but it is too large for the struts unless you drill the strut out. Easy.

Thanks! Just ordered them now. The waiting will kill me but i just bought a hangar 9 spifire MKII 60 size to keep me occupied in the meantime. Be interesting to see the end result......i suspect it wont be any heavier than the cmpro.

Thanks a lot for the tips. U guys have saved me a lot of hours. Ordered the axles and the wheels. Gives me about 10 days approx to start the next project while waiting for the parts.

A tip (that ur probably not needing):
Make sure ur starter battery is charged before u head to the field. A friend of mine just drove all the way to his closest field to fly his Pulse XT 60, only to find the starter battery was flat so he couldnt fly.

I may also add, that your project made me want the CMP Spit as my next project, as my Hyperion Mustang is nearing completion. I just love the shape of the CMP Spit. And after I've flown with the hyperion, I'm not settling on any foamies.
