F3P Plane Availability to public

Are these all small light weight planes that fly indoors. I did see a video of one flying very very slowly while doing an assortment of 3D stunts. I love the slow 3D flying! Do these planes come in RTF or just scratchbuilt. Can anyone suggest a very slow flying plane in this group for me to build or purchase. Can any of these be flown outside. Thanks Ron

There is a sticky thread at the top of this forum with links to free plans.

If you like the 3D/freestyle type flying instead of pattern, search for "Juka" in this forum as well. It is an excellent freestyle/3D airframe and the plans are available free.

There are also a number of kits available but they aren't my thing, I prefer to build. I am sure others will be along shortly with more info on the kits.

Thanks, it seems like many of my planes fit this category as they are below 300g and less than 2 meter wing span. I guess What I really like is slow flying 3D. Ron

F3P Vendors

I asked the same question about availability of models.

Searching the web I came up with these:

http://www.electricwingman.com/
http://www.pauzuolis-rc.com
http://www.flying-dog.co.uk

The only problem is that while the kits aren't too expensive, the shipping from Europe may cost more than the kit.

Good luck,

Richard S

You can get an Armonia from Nitro for 66$. With 11 gram motor(dual sky), 3 gram servos and a carbon prop you have a first class setup which can be built at 80grams without battery.

You can hardly get a better flying F3P model unless you spend a lot more $$s.

That's a great plane for the price. Also take a look at the Twisted Hobby Click. Great plane but it will cost more for sure.

Have you built one of these? Very curious if the weight is real and about it's flying characteristics?

My brother built one. It is very nice.

idk if you can use a 12 gram motor, but with a 15 gram it will sit comfortably at 108-114 grams. It flies well too.

sirpercy, I have built two of them. The weight is real if you stay light on the equipment.
Until you are willing to go with mylar/foam this is the best! Slow flying and locked in on knife edge.

Vince

I posted a photo of one on a scale. I'm not sure where but i think it was in DIY coax thread.
