If you had the option of buying either the gp ep yak 54 3d or the e-flite mini funtana x, which would you choose and why? I started off flying glow, but a move since then has caused the trips to the local field (now about an hour away) far and few in between. Where I live now, it seems that there's a park or ball field every mile or so apart (they're every where, nice big ones too). So help me decide. Thanks.

Get the plane you like the best. We can't really decide for you. Just get the one that you like more.

I just finished building a Mini FuntanaX for myself, and it went together very nice, and looks great. I haven't flown it yet, as we have over 2 feet of snow left here, but reports have been that is flies great. That is why I chose it, but hey, the decision is up to you.

I know the decision is up to me, but I'd like to get some insight as to how these models fly, seeing as I personally have not flown either. While I'm at it, why not throw the mini katana in the mix too. How does that seagull ep 300 fly? I've flown the extreme flight models and they're excellent, just don't feel like spending over $150, even thou they're well worth it. Thanks.

If you want a Yak, get the Extreme Flight version. It will be in a class of it's own compared to the smaller Katana & Funtana..

Try the search facility here on RCGroups it may give you more answers. There are so many different forums here that flyers of the models you quote may not read your post.

About the clear covering, is it me, or does the scheme used on the gp yak look like the one on the KEtana from g3 expansion 2? I'm still wondering why that model isn't in production.....or is it???

Nice vid. Almost bought the glow pulse after graduating from my first bird (p51 pts), but bought a matt chap 580 instead.

I have the pulse and the mini pulse They are good flying planes and are made very well. Started off the the 450 in the mini pulse... that didn't last long before a 480 went in, now it rocks pretty good
