karma jumped up, and bit me right on the

ok the H9 CE was short lived, maiden and final all in one!

not sure what happened, think maybe battery came loose!

ok. with that said, now I have a perfect Christen Eagle cowl, and wheel pants!
just need a canopy! and another big box of balsa!

so what I was thinking, was converting the plans I used too an CE and put a 30cc in it!

so will take inventory on what's left, and go from there!

I used to know this, but an Eagle is the kit version of a Pitts, isn't it? Or is it the factory built and the Pitts was the kit/plans built? I can never remember anymore.

I think I'm turning mine into an S-2C one-holer, or maybe a convertible. Actually, that's a fine idea. I'll build two canopies, one normal S-2C, the other a single place with the front covered and swap 'em as needed like the real thing.

ok, I read some where that the Christen Eagle, was a totally different airplane, as claimed by Mr. Christen. think there was a patent issue!

now with that said, it is spose to be "identical" (except tail, canopy, and landing gear) as the "S2s Pitts" for which my 1/4 scale is spose too be!

and I pulled the plans out of my Pitts, and it looks like the cowl from the H9 CE is a perfect fit! so just hafta redraw the tail, and straiten out the gear or get a new one, the pants I think survived, if not, should be repairable, I haven't checked too see how close the tail section is, too see if I can just reuse them!

ok guys and gals, got a few more flights on the PITTS, and she is still a sweetheart, so much so, that I am really considering another with a 30cc!
so nergal if you see this, I would like your opinion, since you have one a 30cc in yours, don't you?

An Eagle and a Pitts are as different as a J-3 and a Super Cub. But with a little magic powder, you can fool people- GO for it !

As I sit here crying about the Midwing's demise, I'm already thinking -"This new one's gonna be SO much better!"

Some live forever, some don't...Sorry about your loss.

IDK, I never tried it with a 20cc to compare? I'm at 145 flights on her though, so something must be right.

I just finished a Top Flite build and did the maiden flight last Saturday. It was the smaller one with a glow engine. I spent all day trying to get the darn thing running reliably with the cylinder mounted upside down. Never had this much trouble with glow before. The whole day I kept thinking the engine in my Pitts is in the same orientation, and it runs fine. I'm sticking with gas engines from now on!!!
