38.5 inch Staudaucher GS300

Hi,

I've been wanting to do a staudacher for a while now, and finally took the plunge. I ripped some thumbnail plans out of an old magazine, scanned and blew them up, and began to build. Here are some specifications:

Wingspan......... 38.5 inches
Weight (est)..... 20.5-23 Oz
Batts................ Kan 950, 8 cells
Motor............... Hacker B20 15l, 4:1, 11 x 7 propeller

I'de like some opinions before I go out and buy the hacker motor system. I've done a little reaserch and some motocalcing, and this setup seems superior to any I've encountered. I would prefer to use the Kan 950s (8 cells) since I own 2 packs already, and want to avoid having this plane become a lead sled. Any suggestions or comments on this setup, or reccomendations for others? I'de like to achieve at least 6 mins of scale aerobatics (no hovering, etc) and vertical performance if possible.

Best Regards,

Paul

You'll get at least 6 minutes on that setup. It'll be a great setup for the plane. How much wing area does she have? any more pics?
