It fits if I Velcro it to the battery but then the canopy really pushes down on it and I'm afraid it's going to push the battery and tray right into the inlet. I spent 2 hours last night moving stuff around and still not a good mounting idea. Any help would be appreciated.

Carve out some material from the underside of the canopy. Nothing says it has to be solid, hollow it out some.

I want to thank everyone for the help. Flew it again yesterday quite a bit and launches are great now. I glued the battery tray in and also put .70 carbon rod under the battery tray and glued it in to help support the battery when being pushed on by the canopy. Also hollowed out the canopy a little to relieve some pressure. Flew great but I definitely need to upgrade to 3s it doesn't climb at all on 2s but still fun to fly.

Awesome.

On a side note, got some high blade count fans that are going to get a test in one of these airframes. It sure would be nice to get that turbine like sound in a micro EDF.

Sweet let us know how it works. Next is to start upgrading so I wouldn't mind adding to my upgrade list.

Thought I would share something I saw in another forum.

http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?...ge+rc+airplane

It comes with a 30mm fan but if you get the airframe only version, Im sure you could stick a 35mm in there.

Wow.

Sorry, your search ' Mini mirage rc airplane ' did not match any products. A partial match of your keywords is listed below.

I tried.

I went though that site and finally, by luck found the Mirage. It comes as a pisher prop or EDF. My experience with those AEO fans is that they are Amp hogs that work well, but small airframes have a hard time carrying the battery required. Our 35mm fans are a much better choice with their reduced amp draw. I'm going to pick up a couple of these Mirages and give them a go.

HiJoe

How did you find out that they going to use the AEO fan? Where do I find the "better" 35mm fans.? (Still looking for an "easy and proper" way to increase the 30mm hole in Fuse to 35mm) Your advice will be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

it's weird, if you buy one it's free shipping, if you buy more than one they start charging a lot for shipping. Guess I will have to place several orders. Also weird it says that they are sold by an FMS company.
