Interesting....

Not only the items listed above, but also landing lights that appear to come out of the wheel well, closing inner gear doors, a closer to scale main wheel size and fuel drop tanks with the seam running the correct way round, plus looks like they might have more accurately modelled pylons for them too...

It's certainly trying to do more than the current fms 1400mm.

Does look a little short in length though, with very squared off underside behind the wing... Or maybe that's just me...

But definitely promising... Heavy though with those two batteries in surely???

A 100g 1000mah 3S isn't going to worry a bird of this size, but it does seem strange to require a separate battery when the sound could easily be run from the flight pack which could just be slightly bigger instead. The MrRCSound units will work off anything from 2S to 8S, so it's easily possible to do.

Not sure how the have it wired up, but I'm sure it could be wired to run of a higher Mah lipo...say a 3300mah 4s. Only thing that concerns me is that maybe the sound unit won't handle 4s.

However, on my 1.7m P51 I have the MrRcSound 2x2" speaker unit installed and I chose to run it of a seperate 3s 950mah lipo. Mainly because my esc wasn't syncing correctly with the sound unit so it made it easier.

Thanks for starting this thread V8truckin on another P-51 foamy and thanks for the work on the images! I downloaded them as well, but you're a bit faster on the draw! Looks like the scale treatment is much better than FMS, but also wonder about the length of the fuse. Also like how the control surfaces (rudder) are more aerodynamic attached. Like to see those better linkages as well!

Would very much like to see images of the TOP of the flaps when they are deployed on this model and a video of the retracts in action with landing lights.

Will be watching this one and this thread!

Im in! Looks like a winner. I cant imagine what the price point will be but finally FMS has some competition in 1400 range. Almost like what V8 of the FMS should be!

Junk the sound system, cause nothing out there sounds like the real thing.

Yup this is probably what FMS has "up the sleeve" at this moment.

I don't care for the sound system, so would SC that and save the battery weight. I just hope FMS provides an optional sound system with V8, which I feel would compete well against this model.

Competition is good and it shows here!

Yeah not so much about the sound system. I would like to see FMS contract Mrrcsound to do the sound systems. But never the less minus that sound system..the plane seems alright.
