Esc32

Hi People

I just wanted to make you aware of the ESC32. It is built for multirotor helis, but I think it could be interesting for use as a spindle controller.

It sports a closed loop mode and can be controlled over a serial interface.

In closed loop mode, you can control the RPM with extremely high accuracy. Upper limit is 20V/50A, but requires proper attention to cooling.

More info here:

http://autoquad.org/esc32/

http://www.viacopter.eu/shop/esc%C2%...ad-esc32/17-93

Id be willing to send a sample to someone on this thread that wants to play around with it, and see and document if it can be used for spindle control.

Michael, er du interesseret?

The link on post #19 for the :3 ballscrews + 3 sets SBR rails +3sets BK/BF12+couplers

Points to "sold" item, when I do a search on the "linearmotionbearings2008" eBay shop this description is the same for all of his kits.

The kits have different lengths.

I suppose they are SBR16 rails and RM1605 ballscrews

So what's the good dimension for rails and ballscrews ?

Thank you .

EDIT: Post #24 state "If you want to build a machine similar to mine and want to buy the parts from Linearmotionbearings2008 (Chai) just contact him directly through Ebay and have him alter the order to: 3pcs Anti backlsh ballscrews RM1605-320/520/820mm-C7(3screws+3ballnuts+3end machinings)"

So the kit that corresponds the most is this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-ballscrews...item3a53ca7c42

With the ballscrews machined to the length specified.

Are the rails in the offer the correct ones ?

SBR16-300mm/500mm(4 supported rails+8 SBR16UU blocks)

SBR20-800mm(2 supported rails+4 SBR20UU blocks)

Thank you.

Hi Michael,

this thread has inspired me building my own cnc router . Some time ago I asked for an alternative to your base build with cement and you gave me the tip to build a torsion box.

I came up to construct my own cnc, as I want a larger working area and a torsion box. Find below some pics of what Im planing to build.

Unfortunately, I have to find someone to cut all parts on his cnc machine .

Comments are welcome.

Hi Legout

Im glad this thread inspired you to move ahead and design your own version.
Your design looks well engineered and should perform well.

If you cant find a place to get your parts cut, you could make a quick and dirty version from cheap wood and then let it cut your parts with this. Youll be surprise how easy it is to cut nice parts with a b... ugly machine thrown together in a couple of hours using nails, screws, glue and zip-ties.

I plan to make a new machine with slotted parts just like you. All handcut parts will be replaced with new and redesigned CNC cut parts. Bought some very inexpensive drag chains for the new machine on Ebay that work great. You should incorporate some of them in your design: drag chains

Good luck with the build and feel free to post updates in this thread.

Hi MIchael,

thanks for your comment.

Are there already any pictures available of the machine you are planing?

Hopefully I do not have to build a quick and dirty machine. But up to now, I havent found andybody to cut my parts.

I will post here if there are any news.
