lubricating flex shaft
Hey guys I have a Atomik barbwire boat and my manual says to lube the flex shaft every 2 to 3 runs is that normal or should I do it every time?

Kind of depends on what you use for lube. Heavy grease can last longer, oil no more than 2 or 3 runs.
Just as important is removing the shaft at the end of the daay when you're done running, dry it well, re oil it and store it in a plastic bag.
They will rust without end of day care.
I use a mix of marine outboard motor grease and oil, blend it to the consistency of thick syrup. Lasts about 4-6 runs before it needs to be re-applied.
Just about anything will work well though as long as it isn't too thick. I don't bother with any of the RC boat specific grease, way overpriced, you can buy a pound of normal grease for the cost of one little 1oz tub or Aqracraft grease.
Another money saver is to use renfrew hockey shin pad tape for sealing up the hatch, way cheaper and the same as "hatch tape".
