If you have a board that has only 4 plugs (vs 8), then yes they have changed, probably several times since then.

V262 and V222

I searched, could not find an answer, so....

Will my V262 Tx work with the V222 Rx? (are the protocols the same?) I'm upgrading my V929.

I know the v262 has the same protocol as the v202, v212, and v252, so I'm willing to bet it will work with the v222.

Yes, they are the same.

But before you upgrade your V929 to a V222, you should know that you may potentially encounter dropouts. However, if you have a V262 Tx, I'm assuming that you have success with your V262. In that case, you should be able to upgrade your V929 to V222 w/o any trouble. Go for it, mate.

No dropouts, 262 flies great but I want a little guy too. The 929 is fun but I think the 222 conversion will be funner.

With the V262 as proof, that sounds like a good reason for the change.

By "upgrading your V929 to V222", what exactly are you planning to upgrade and to achieve? In other words, are you just upgrading the FC board and use your V262 Tx? Or, are you doing more, like upgrading the frame to add camera?

If you are just upgrading the FC board for a smoother flight, more like upgrading to a V212, I'd say go for it. It's minimal work and expenses.

But if you thinking of upgrading the V929 to a full functional V222, you might just want to buy a V222 BNF.

Sorry that I didn't shoot pics of the original generation of V929 board. I do have two pics of the later generation board, which is exactly the same as the V949 board. I don't know if these images will help you at all since they show no differences that I can detect.

It would honestly be strange if they DID show any differences, considering it is the same revision #

Yes. To repeat: I have no images of the previous board. The whole plane went into the ashcan because I got sick of it screwing up. Too badly bashed, I guess.

Here's a 929 board from August 2012. You can see the burned fet on the back.

Sorry for long delay but got busy.......

I want to use my V262 Tx is the main reason for upgrading. I may upgrade the frame later but for now will just go with the board. I know it will not be a full V222 but it should have most of the V222 characteristics plus sockets for lights if I want to add those.

So I got the board, installed it and fired it up. Now it just wants to spin in a circle; I think I read somewhere that I need to reverse the props?

Yes, if it is spinning. The directions of the props are wrong.

The V9x9 series and the V2x2 series have props in different directions. So, when you do the switch, you also need to make that change. Otherwise, the FC couldn't control the motors properly. So, simply unplug the arms, and swap Left and Right. Then, you'll be good to go.

You'll need more than just Deviation. You would also need to add a FlySky transmitting module. But once you get this working, it is a very sweet setup.

Thanks for the info, I might just go with the original tx that came with the V929, that looks kind of hard to get it just right.
