Griff, Just an idea mate but why not pop down to your local vinyl cutters/sign shop and buy some luminescent / day glow vinyl.

Cut some thin strips and attached to the end of your standard blades.

Yeah i was thinking about that this morning actually,that and one of those light's they scan cash with might work quite nicely.
Also i'm thinking i might just pester the makers of the other night blades i've seen,lol.

I have been looking for glow in the dark tape to use in my blades but have not found any.

Another option might be to install high output LEDs. There are a number of threads about that. I did some reading and it is not hard to do once you understand how leds work, wiring, and ratings -- plenty of sites to learn the ABCs.

I'm going to experiment and make a few set ups for my trex and micros with different types of leds (intensity, viewing angle, color). I ordered leds from superbrightleds, resistors from digikey and 30 awg wire from ratshack. I anticpate this is going to put out a lot of light. On my V2rex I ordered yellow and blue superhigh output leds to light the disc and canopy (match canopy scheme), and landing lights for underneath. THe parts are really inexpensive (the shipping is more than the parts) so I bought enough to do a lot of experimenting. Looking forward to having some fun with this.

Oh SWEET,they're a couple of mm's longer and 3 mm narrower but i think thats what i've been looking for.
I think my next step will be to order some woodies from the night ranger and see how they fit my CP2.

$126.00 or £65.00 is a little steep but i think i can live with that.

EDIT: I've found some woodies for the night ranger at a very good price on ebay,gonna order those monday and see how well they fit and how the CP2 flies with them,if all goes well then i'll be buying the night blades

You would probably be better off making your own night blades. If you ever find any, they're quite over priced. I found some Carbon Fiber night blades for around $43, and that was just for 1 pair! But it also came with a charger. If you were to buy the blades themselves, they're probably $20-$30

I found this through another thread here - no sense in re-inventing the wheel. He has developed an LED strobe system for heli's as well as a lipo alarm and on his site has a section about LEDs in the blade. Also alot of video showing everything working. If you are inclined and can find his thread, he also ishares the drawings on how to build the circuit

I just wish I could fly well enough to impliment anything like this!
