Particularly when you read verses 49 -51, it becomes apparent that Jesus told his disciples to buy swords to teach them to not use them.

49 When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” 50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.

51 But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.

Are you trying to point out a contradiction in the Bible?... After all, it is not in the nature of Jesus to use a sword.

I think the 1st amendment is ultimately secured by the second, as is every other one of our rights. Human beings have the inalienable right to life, and that right means nothing if you're not able to defend it.

You brought up the subject of bullying.
