I just installed the kit in the link below onto my new V911, but I can't figure out what screw holds the flybar on. The screw from the stock plastic piece is too small, and all the screws that come with the kit are too large. Any ideas?

Impressed, to say the least.
Wow, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the boxes to my two (black/orange and red/white new version model) V911s this afternoon. The product quality is on par with the much more costly several Eflite MSRs, two Blade 120 SRs and a real dog Align Trex100, along with many other combinations of coaxial and FP helis that I have owned over the course of 6 years. With such a cheap price, I just had to pull the trigger on two of these little gems to see what all the hipe was about. Reading through most this thread was an invaluable experience and a must read for newbies to this very addictive hobby. Anyway, prior to lifting off, I made sure to oil the swashplate bearings from the underside and made sure that the flybar was free to bounce up and down several times at the flick of a finger. All linkages were free and loose with no binding. All that was required of both helis was a one time 360 degree turn of the appropriate servo rod to give a "hands off" hover! So far, so good, four flights on each and no (knock on wood) problems yet! No crashes yet either.
As stated throughout this thread, the rudder function is really sensitive on the stock transmitter, so for you newbies, take it slow and easy until you get the feel of your V911. I strongly suggest flying indoors (no wind) in low rate mode for several battery packs before venturing outdoors and using the high rate mode. This ol boy is one happy camper, so far!! |
