Funcopter or Blade 450X Flybarless

What'll I have more fun with? I fly big and small coaxials and micro FP. Will the 3 axis gyro keep the blade stable to learn on?

That is quite a jump from a FP to a 3D CP that costs 500 clams. Here is a link that has a review and it emphasizes this is for experienced CP fliers.

I think you're right. I can get a lot of experience with the FP and go CP next year.

Still interested in opinions though.

MCPX is a highly recommended CP as an interim step before a 450 size, and it is less than $200.00.

If you don't mind repairing, and you have the money, then life is short (enjoy what you can while you can) -- I went out and bought a squadron of CP 3D helicopters before learning how to fly a coaxial. I spent the majority of my time building and repairing, instead of flying. But now I can fly a little without crashing so much.

The Trex 450 is a superior quality product to the Blade 450.

I'm gonna get a Funcopter. It's a nice size I can fly outdoors and I have lots of 3s 2500mah batteries that will fly it . The blade is just a sexy machine and the flybarless system is appealing to me.
The only reason I considered it is that I saw a guy who is considered a "donkey" fly a Blade 450X in gusty conditions then we went inside and he couldn't handle my Nine Eagles Bravo SX!
Another reason is that I am own a hobby shop and can get one for myself very cheaply.
My cost is only $50.00 more than my cost on a Funcopter!

I would like to be an on-line hobby shop, but I don't want to have a physical address where customers can come to buy -- because I will always make more money with my regular daytime job. I haven't been able to find a wholesale vendor that wants to deal with an exclusively on-line hobby shop. Ideally, I would like to specialize in Align products.

I have a couple customers that I order align parts for. But You're right, Distributors only want to deal with Brick and mortar shops. My shop is on my home property in an out building but I have been zoned commercial since the fifties so It works out well.
It's a very difficult business especially when you are forced to compete with your own distributors.
My lower overhead helps me a little.
