HET Super Sniper 70 MM

I was looking around for a nice 70mm EDF... Not much info on the HET Super Sniper 70mm http://www.highendrc.com/index_eprod...?products_id=9
Is there is something wrong with it? Also anice one is from Proedf:
http://www.proedf.com/index.php?p=6&lang=en&ev=&id=8

For power I was looking at HET6904 or equivalent on 3000mah 4s pack.

Any comment?

My first EDF that lasted a few flights was a sniper.I really enjoyed it while it lasted. There was a good build with photos on the Warbirds site I think it was under experimental . The only problems I found was the fuzz is polyester and crumples very easy and the wings can fold in flightvif flown too fast.
Cheers
Steve

Super sniper on a 6904 with a 2w20 is an awesome setup. We built one to test our bungee setup. While our bungee launcher didn't work out so well, the sniper was a blast.

Fair enough! Super sniper, they only thing I could see that need atention is reinforce the wing with fiberglass where they join. As for setup the HET6904 on 4s should do it. Such a small airframe.

Yep, we've got them on sale here:

Talk to Robert, he'll give you the low-down on the recommended mods. You're right though, beefing up the wing is an absolute must. I'd probably run a carbon rod through it and glass the center too. Great flying sport-type jet.

That one of the original Sapac 70's??
4s 2600's 35c should keep the weight down and give you a solid 600 watts.

Looks like I'm late to the party again with another old classic

I finally maidened my first gen 70mm HET Super Sniper.
Really didn't know what to expect, as I had to add a bunch of lead to the tail and it was still nose heavy at the recommended 90mm CG. Well I loaded up 16lbs of pull on the bungee and she fired off the ramp! Needed only 2 clicks of trim to fly straight.

Seems to be a good flyer so far, a little draggier than I thought, although I flew in sub-zero temperatures. I fitted a CS10/HET 2W-30 on 2X2200mah 3S 45-90C nano's that put out 1125watts and 52 amps static on the ground. At least it made a fantastic intake roar.

Hope to get some videos up soon.
