Cox P-47 and DX6 Best Setup?
Ok I have the Cox P-47 and a DX6 so what I wanted to know is what is the best setup for this combo.
I know I need an ESC, Battery and a Charger... So what do you recommend?
Please give Make and Model..
This will be my first ARF plane..

brushed or brushless motor?
I'd also encourage you to read the thread in the parkflyers forum... pop some popcorn though... it's LOOOOONG read.
For brushless mods start about 2/3'rds of the way in.
If you want to go brushed get a little elctrifly C-7 esc and a 300mAH 2S lipo battery. For a charger use a basic lipo charger. You can also use the Cox NiMH and a Cox charger or similar to recharge it. Personally I'd do the lipo but that's what my entire fleet runs now so...

I have used the Cox battery 220maH Ni-MH on my F4U along with the Blue Arrow 5-Amp ESC for brushed motors. Part # BA-PP-5A. Both work well with the Cox Warbirds and the ESC has very good resolution on the throttle. The Charger i purchased was the Apache Smart Charger 2030. It will charge all types of batteries, Ni-Cad, Ni-MH or Li-poly. This was a very cost effective setup to get started.
