Started building mine today. Is the best way to attach the rods to the snap on connectors really with the welder glue or is there a more preferred method. I watched a vid of someone using CA with the heat shrink. Is one a more permanent bond then the other?

Thanks

Originally the recommended method was heatshrink+CA. However I have melted a few of the connectors doing it that way, you need to be careful not to get it too hot. It's also easier to get too much CA on the connector and have it flown into the snap-in section, ruining the connector. We have found the Welder method to be very reliable as long as you let it dry thoroughly.

Just got a few batts in the mail, hopefully the plane will be here tomorrow so I can get it built. Looks like it's going to be windy, but I'm hoping the winds will drop in the evening enough for a maiden.

I use the 500mah 2s batteries from heads up rc in my crack yak...lighter then most 450 mah batteries and I get over 5min of flight time.

It's really only a 15C battery...at least continuous ....the Glaciers are 25C minimum and weigh near the same

Edit I was using 3S batteries as a example.........3S is way more fun.

I just got a crack lazer a month ago and I am trying to fly in our wonderful NY spring weather. Can the MXs handle the wind better? Keep up the good work Cody!

Yes, the MXS is more comfortable in the wind than the Laser, especially on 3S. Glad you are liking the Laser!

A tree ate my Crack Laser

Got mad and ordered a MXS-C to replace my Crack Laser that is hanging in a tree.
Looks great for flying outside this summer.

40 - 50 ft but on the edge. Maybe the wind tomorrow will bring it down.
It has my name and number on it.
