OK, I've got this new Double Horse 9117 I just opened, and it's next to my D.H. 9104, and apart from the obvious operating systems, there are similarities, and there are differences too. Biggest difference is the swashplate, the 9104's is smaller, this would most likely explain why I keep getting separation with the 9104's swashplate with a 4 channel conversion, swash arms on the 9117 are MUCH longer, allowing more movement that the 3 channel swash. Apart from a few cosmetic differences, it appears a lot of parts are interchangeable between the 2, canopies are pretty much identical, mechanical things could be swapped (if needed) blades, etc. I have these much larger output brushed motors that were bastardized from a no-good R.C. boat that actually look like they might fit (more to come on that), but I guess if you have this 9117, and you've also got one or two 9104 sitting around, you'd have some parts for the 4 channel bird...at least mechanically...

can a person take the 9117 4 channel parts and install them on a 9104 to make it a 4 channel?i really would like to change my 9104 over and see how it flys
