I need some suggestions on some really strong 50mm EDF's to carry this -200. It has a 6 1/2 foot fuse but want to keep the nacelle's scale. I tried the company in Pheonix but they dont carry 50mm.

Have a look at this thread:

They look pretty good for the size and price but have to run on 4s. I'm trying to find a suitable motor for a 3s option so I can use lipo's I already have

Have at look at this combo Paul. Don has some really nice motor & fan combos. I've had a bunch of them and they're great and very affordable.

Cheers
Joe

Thanks for the idea's, looks like I ought to be O.K. now. Just got to get this thing built to handle equipment. Not only do I got to make it fly but have to make it buildable for others.

The prototype will be hand launched. Im going for super light weight. Which means only carbon where I need it, with removable otbd. wings. The center wing will be fixed.

Working on the tail #2 engine combo, should have some pics today. Note though the rudder won't be installed yet.

Update on the -200. Been working on the tail. I think Im going to do a 6mm profile of the tail joining the internal structure at the pylon. Kind of a crucifix. Then as you can see here a scale external airfoil skin. The profile will have a simple carbon spar. Keeping it light weight. This plane will be built to fly not crash.
