Recommend an airframe for this set up ?

Hi fellas, Can any of you EDF experts recommend a scale airframe to suit an ex Squall EP set up with 64mm five blade fan, 40amp ESC and on 11.i v lipo system. It was in the lower powered Squall, and really shifted till the foam bits turned to powder after one interface too many.
Seems a shame to bin a good system that just needs a plane to go into, but up to now I haven't seen anything as an airframe only that ticks all the boxes.
Be obliged for any suggestions guys, especially one that's already been done and is good, scalish and fun.

There are a lot of 64mm EDF jet options on the market. Many of them would come with their own power system so you may need to look for a foam only kit. Here is a link to some 64mm foam kits from NitroPlanes. I assume Banana Hobby and Hobby King would also have a selection to choose from.

You could always scratch build one. Fairly easy to convert pusher jet plans if your so inclined,

If 'scale' is not a deal-breaker, the HK Jetiger would be a good airframe. Cheap enough that removing the PNP power system and replacing it with yours is possible. Always good to have a back-up power train on hand Easy hand launch and heaps of power.

I replaced mine with a 4S system, and it is quite quick for a small airframe.

phase 3 F-16 would be perfect for your setup. Repainted, they look pretty scale too.
Cheers

Cheers everyone, seems as if the impeller from the Squall is actually 68mm not 64 as Phase 3 state, so widens the field somewhat. Still looking for a scale type airframe though. Shame to chuck a perfectly good set up for lack of a wee bit of plastic huh.

Yep, that Phase 3 F5E would be just fine, but try getting an airframe only pack in the UK ...Humph !
