Kevin....When I run a castle 10 amp ubec I'll run a Y connector lead .. plug in the bec and esc lead to the Y side and run the other side( Single connector) into my throttle channel on the receiver or any other available free channels.

Note: If you have an esc that has an internal bec you have to disable it or bypass it, so you will need to cut the red wire or pull it out of the plug on your esc lead and then plug it into the Y connector .

these guys will know better than i, but i believe the new prop has reduced pitch. that will slow you down. you want to do the zip tie mod, that will speed you up. i never did it so one of the other guy will have to tell you where it is in this thread.

Also, the Zero is a different scale (smaller) to the 190 and the larger props will not only look silly, but may cause problems on the ground.

If you want to go faster, get a smaller prop with higher pitch.

Gents, The FMS 1400mm ME Bf109f share the same PAEP Gold 4250 580Kv motor and ESC as the 1400mm Zero.....however the Bf109 Spinner back plate is much larger than the 1400mm Zero and each of the blades are farther out from the motor shaft....this makes the Bf109 prop a 15x8x3.

I am not sure what size our FMS 1400mm Zero 3blade prop is for sure yet.

Some of the earlier version of these planes came with a 4250 540Kv motor.....which may have contributed to the discovery of shimming the props to help create more thrust due to the higher pitch.

Anyway - the spinner/prop assembly are vastly different respective to each plane.

I would agree - if you want more speed from the 580Kv motor.....try the shim mod to the stock props 1st or try flying with a smaller size but higher pitch two blade prop & assembly.......I think moving to 5s on these motors are a no go and in fact we have a strong message from the manufacture NOT to operate on 5s.

You might do well to jump onto the FMS 1400mm Zero webthread to glean a little more info:

Then this thread regarding motor and prop set ups...this is your gold mine here:
