You won't regret it.

It's a great little plane with much more speed verticals than the wildcat. You can easely fly her with 2200 batteries too.

Add flaps and you will land her in very tight spots too.

I take her to my Italy's trips all the time.

P-51 PZ risky flight (5 min 17 sec)

Parkzone P-51 Gunfigther onboard low passes (5 min 18 sec)

That's some cool flying my friend! Takes guts to go between the trees and below the wires like that. I'm about to check out the Gunfighter thread to learn more. I'm sure a lot of you guys are subscribed over there as well. I should have mine by mid week.

I have both the Wildcat and Mustang - I think you are going to like the Mustang too. It seems a bit faster to me, but not much. They fly very similar. I flew the Mustang today

The Gunfighter feels slightly more stable and on rails than the Wildcat. I feel like flying a bigger plane with the little Mustang, especially when it's windy... Of course this could come from the fact I'm using the T-28 prop with the Gunfighter (more wash perhaps) while I'm keeping the Wildcat to the stock prop.

Hi Matfly,

A very good choice. I think you will love the Gunfighter. In a side by side comparison with the Wildcat, assuming both are stock, you will find the Gunfighter to be faster and smoother, while the Wildcat is better at performing aerobatics. I've tried different batteries in it, but I prefer the way that it flies with the 1300mah stock size. I added landing gear and steerable tail wheel to both my Gunfighter and Wildcat. If you like to ROG and do touch and goes, the addition of landing gear is super easy. Good luck and have fun.

Sorry for staying off-topic on the Wildcat thread. With the landing gear mod, the Wildcat is such a perfect parkflyer. It's size and performance make it quite flyable from a softball infield. Too bad that PZ has pretty much standardized on the 1100mm/2000mah size warbird. To me, the smaller Wildcat and Gunfighter were a much better size for flying at the local parks.

How 'bout a picture of your gear mod on the F4F?

Look at Post #225 on Page 15 of this thread for the landing gear, and Post #263 on Page 18 for the steerable tail wheel.

Besides the modifications that I made, several other flyers have posted pictures of their landing gear mods - just scroll through the attachments to this thread to find one that you particularly like.
