Skywing 38" Laser

Got the new laser today and all I can say it WOW! Much different quality of the graphics than the V1 slick I have . The SfG's are amazing. Looks like Depron hopefully they hold up to my abuse.

10 days from the time I ordered till it showed up on my doorstep. Really impressed.

I had ordered the Hengli motor for this. The Hengli is a bullet proof motor, Also have an Omega 72 I'm gonna use.

The ExtremeFlight Laser is probably my favorite balsa plane so I'm really looking forward to flying this one.

I'm waiting for KST215 to show up, as I plan on using CC Bec and running servos at 7.4 volts.....LOL should be silly speed and torque on those servos.

May do a build log. Just by glance inspection it looks to go together like the others, if so I may skip posting the build.

37 1/2" Wing span, and why not take items out of plastic for pics?

I would love one of these but for two factors, one being for the same price i can buy a Veloxity.

Second if i dumb thumb the Veloxity i will be unlucky if i do any harm.

Sadly for these Skywing 37 1/2" ers (i have had four), a dumb thumb usually means a broken wing (only a light wooden spar), a ripped fuselage or a caved in cowl and smashed up motor box.

Choice becomes a no brainer!

WOW for the price of a veloxity I can get 5 39" hummers from VH or 2 sabre 35's And them sabre 35'sare a rugged great flying plane.
But then again I crashed the heck out of my first 38" edge and its still going strong And will do low and slow or high alpha with authority.

To each their own I will stick with skywing 38"ers and the sabre 35 when that kind of money is involved for a $145 for another $20 I can buy 2 38"ers or 2 sabre's

I haven't seen the edge, the only 38" skywing makes I haven't seen in person. I was about to order one when I found out the laser was coming out.

Compared to my others it's quite abit different, especially on quality of the graphics and paint on the foam. Going by comparing the edges to the lasers I have, it should have a bigger flight envelope than the edge.

I have a couple projects I'm finishing up but as soon as they are done I'll post better picks and inspection.

Who is Counting a half inch lol. Box says 38.

I also have a couple of these and have used and abused it, sounds like you need to learn how to have a good crash.

On EPP's, if your not crashing you are just flying circles.

WHAT?

Man you are obnoxious, everybody has different capabilities, flying styles and some like to fly low and some like to fly high.

That's the beautiful nature of the hobby, pleases everybody.

Im just finally getting started on the build. It looks amazing in person and the strengthen upgrades on it are fantastic also.

The Yellow scheme is very appealing to the eyes. Wish I woulda ordered two now. One to beat on and one to fly when people are watching xD.

What i love about Madman is every flight is different.

Michael, is there a wing spar upgrade (carbon), or are these still wood?
