Texas Whirlybird PCA-2

I am excited to get started on my PCA-2!

Thanks to all who have posted their pics and videos, it has been very helpful to review over the last couple weeks while gathering all the material for this build.

I will do my best to share the build progress for discussion and feedback.

The plan is to bolt an OS FS-95V on the nose.

The rainy weekend has gotten me off to a good start and the tail feathers are built up. Need to sand the airfoil shape and they should be ready. The fuse is next!

Tim

Fuse sides are done. Gonna have to break down and set up my band saw in the garage. Zona saw won't cut it for this project. (Pun Alert! )

Looking good Tex!

Is that the color scheme in the back ground? That looks awesome! Where did you come up with that?

Thanks Joe.

The color scheme is my own based on a 1930 H-D gas tank design. I stuck it in front of me on the work bench to think it over during the build but am liking it so far.

I'm covering it with Solartex and have the silver, orange and black. The orange is a little lighter than the H-D orange but should look OK.

I ride an '09 XR1200.

It has been a busy few weeks but still trucking along. Cool temps and rain are good for building!

Thanks again Don! I volunteered for a short notice work assignment and am going to be out of town most of next week so there she will sit 'til I get back.
