What is inside NiMh rectangular PP3
I am wandering what is inside NiMh rectangular (PP3) battery: are there several cylindrical 1.2v batteries?
I would like to get lightweight and tiny 1.2V batteries. I have rectangular batteries that I do not use, could i get cylindrical elements from rectangular batteries instead?

All NiMH batteries are 1.2V nominal and multiple cells must be in series to get higher voltages. Cells are almost always cylindrical although I've seen a 8.4V unit (7s) shaped and sized like a rectangular 9V battery and sold as such, but it actually has 7 short little cells inside.
