Most of our clubs around where I live have those built-in to the gas side of the pit.

at 233 bucks every club should have a couple. safety is worth it.

I agree with clubs buying them for use, but For the individual that price is rough. But then again how much would you pay for your fingers

Honestly, if I did fly gas planes and didn't use something like that already, I'd watch the video, get a general idea of how that works, and just build one myself for $150... I always try to build things when I can build it cheaper than buying it.

At $233 bucks, there are many cheaper ways to attain the same amount of safety... I was thinking of the product that eflightray just linked - our club has 6 of them and no gas&taxi-related incidents since they were installed.

It appears a well designed and tested product. Price may seem high but not everyone has the time or skills to build one, which may not be as good in the end. When you think it will last years and several models it does not seem so expensive. And when you have spent several hundred, if not thousands, of dollars on the model(s) is it really that expensive?
What price safety? Any safety gear is expensive, until someone is injured or killed- consider seatbelts in cars. A tiny part of the overall cost, resisted by many who did not want them, but how many lives have they saved??

The price on the website is in EUROS at € 130 which equates to $ 179 including postage worldwide.

The price up until now has always been 145 EUROS but we have decided to bring this down to €130 including postage worldwide which equates to approx $179 US Dollars.

The website is being changed today because people were getting confused over the postage and packaging costs. So hopefully by the end of today all will be clearer and easier to use.

The biggest difference between the Airopult and other tail restraints is that it stops planes from going backwards as well as forwards which no other restraint can do therefore the pilot doesn't have to hold the plane when pushing with the electric starter.

Well we were hoping the website was going to be changed today but unfortunately all the holidays are interfering with this so it should be changed to 130 euros by the end of Wednesday.

I've never regretted the purchase of a quality product...and this one is!
