Hey.. Jreedsac...
Nice plane, nice angle, nice light.. Maybe you weren't allowed but I was so looking forward to maybe a low pass over the water... And seemed like you were full on the whole time... A nice dirty low pass here and there would be cool.. ..

Very nice mate.

Did you have to put a counter weight in the nose to have the , I assume Mobius, on the tail?

Float planes only over the lake but would have been cool for sure......

No extra weight needed up front as the camera only weighs a little more than 1 ounce. It is the Hobby King HD wing cam. I fly a little nose heavy anyway so she balanced fine.

Rob, it is simply taped with electrical tape to the top of the horizontal stab. I use a Mobius, it weighs 40 grams and has very little effect anywhere on this plane.

The Highly Polished finish (Chrome vinyl) really looks great in those photos Jim.

Well, with a little more than a week at SEFF ( it was a blast ) behind me, I can get back to the Macon Belle build. Work is progressing on the cockpit. The idea is to detail it as best I can. Something this big just asks for it. Wanna get that done so's it'll move me on to the fuselage.

Suggest you post all those photos with an explanation on the FMS Facebook site as well. They (FMS) do take note.

It does appear to be a problem across the board with FMS and those plastic E-Tracts! It's time for aluminum, me thinks!

Well the issue is only present with these bew plastic etract housings. I have the old retracts and they're still fine, even after more than a dozen of my horrible and (very) bouncy landings.
