HobbyZone Champ Motor Gear Source??

Anyone ever seen the Champs motor brass pinion gear for sale??
I found gearboxes and plastic spur gears, but no pinions.

Anyone have a burnt out motor with a good pinion??

Thanks, Butch

I've got 5 Champs, but haven't burnt out any motors yet.
Maybe I'll dig through some of my smaller RTF crash parts.

Reads like you are easy on the motors. Of the dozen or so I have replaced, about 2/3 of them were do to overheating and having the glue soften that holds the armature wiring in place. Once loosened the wires would rub on the inside of the can. As the motor warmed up in flight the friction increases, shortening flight times and adding more stress to the motor and LiPo.

I figure flying during the hottest days last summer as well as flying for 15-20 minute at a time cost me three brushed motors this year.

The remaining 1/3 of the motors simply threw a brush as it was used up.
