LemonRX/Orange Satellite as receiver for Naze32/AfroNaze?

Been using one of these with an AlienWii FC for a couple of days and it occurred to me to be one of the cheapest/lightest RXs I've ever used. De-cased, it weighs next to nothing, and I am assuming it outputs PPM?

I have an AfroMini already, the only rub is that it needs PPM, and my current PPM RX is several times the weight/size as the controller!

Does anyone have any experience with these as a main receiver for a Naze32 based setup?

The fact that it does not put out ppm may be your issue.

Really? So on the naze how do you set it up? Disable ppm? That might explain it, mine also goes into bind mode every time I power it on even if I disable bind in the software

It works like a Spektrum satellite receiver, using Spektrum serial protocol. Presumably that's what the Alien is set up to use. Quite different from PPM.

I could use some help setting up one of these Lemon satellite Rx on my Naze32 FC. I bought the Lemon Starter kit from FreeBirdRC.com. I am able to get the Rx to bind and it functions no problem using a spare servo, but when I connect to the Naze FC, I get nothing, not even a blinking LED.

I have soldered the three wires for the Rx to the GND and #4 pad, then pulling power from the 3V pad next to the FC LEDs. I must be doing something wrong, but can figure it out.

In Cleanflight on the "Ports" tab, I have UART2 set to Searial RX

On the "Configuration" tab, receiver mode is set to RX_Serial and the Serial Receiver Provider is set to "SPEKTRUM1024"

On the "Receiver" tab I have the channel map set to "TAER1234"

I found this info at - http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=683925

No experience with the NAZE but my suspicion is that the Lemon DSMX sat is 2048 not 1024 - if that is what you have.

Also you say 3 volts - did you mean 3.3 for the sat?

I have tried 2048 and 1024, but no response from the rx

There is a 3v pad on the Naze32 board, but I believe you are right, it is 3.3v
