EDF power question

I just took delivery of my first EDF unit this a.m., a Lander F2627-4500. It was advertised as a complete 200w unit for a 40 ESC giving 780g thrust, but when I tested it I got a meter reading of 346w and 34.6A - and that was on a 3S lipo at only storage charge!

I'm not really complaing, but was it just a typo error, or is the power rating system different for EDFs?

An advertised rating is an advertised rating. Either they screwed up, are fudging the real specs to increase sales, or you received a defective system. It's most likely the fudging part as most of the "non-American" based companies do that. is offline Find More Posts by
