The short answer is: "Yes".

But if a guy wants a fast, full-3D capable acrobat, with stabilization, the best choice imho is an Edge with a Lemonrx. Total cost ~$140, but much more capable than the Viking, and simpler, too. Pus you have now a spare ~$40 microreciever for something else.

However, I have a love of bipes, and would spend the extra to have both, myself. In fact, I did.
I gotta get a lemon-rx sometime in my Edge, just to see how it works out. Did you get the 7ch? Do you have master gain set on your tx?

I've used a mix of them, up to the 8 chnl, most are the 6 chnl.

Yup, I always set up a master gain on the knob, and the out of box settings seem to usually be close, except ailerons a bit touchy. So I typically turn those down a bit, then match all three axis so that the master gain is equally affecting each of them.

Usually only takes a flight or two to get it right on the money.

Can't speak to your proposed replacement, but I've used all of the following in my Edge and/or Viking. Note: some might need reversing in xmitter, and some (Nanolites) might be a tad longer body than stock.

The absolute cheapest way to deal with bad servos, though, is to just pop new gear sets in them. IMHO, can't you beat 6 sets for 7 bucks, shipped! I have used this seller, and they work fine -- no relation except as a customer.

Here are the DS37s for a little over $6 each. Have not ordered from this site myself, but someone on the 180CFX thread did.
