Sovrin ~ any tips on landing on the tarmac w/o bouncing?

I have about 25 flights on mine and it flies great. Fast or slow and w/o any bad tendencies.

I recently bought Sig's 4 Star 64 and it flies great too. Take-offs are very scale and so are the landings, but it really likes to float.

These are my two primary planes. I do enjoy Sig's quality!!

Hi FLBOY, i fly off of a grass runway and have not encountered bouncing, its all around one of my favs, i always bring this plane and one other out to the field.....always kinda warm up with the T-clips. what do you have for propulsion on the 4 star 64 , elec or nitro?? i have been looking at it for a while , so to have a low wing sig. does it fly good?

Yes, grass runways are much more forgiving than pavement.

4 Star 64 : Motor Power 60, ESC 60a w/BEC & 6S4000mah. It's easy to fly & it flies great. I'm really happy w/the 4 star. I get 8 minutes with 50% left over on the battery.

I've finally figured out how to land this plane w/o bouncing on asphalt. Three point landings have made a huge difference!! Touch the mains & tailwheel @ the same time and she'll grease right in.

And I really do enjoy flying the T-Clips.

I get spoiled flying off of a well groomed grass and fabric runway. They are more forgiving then pavement but then I take it to my other field and have to spot land on pavement.

Your right a three point landing really tames this plane down. Now you just need to master the one wheel landing like Erik Edgren does in the full scale T-Clips!

Yes, on our grass runway little to no bounce. But the three point landings on the pavement have made a huge difference.

I did the one wheel landing, but not by choice

T Clips with Apprentice S Receiver

There have been over 115 models converted to the SAFE receiver technology.
Our T Clips will be added to the list after reporting how the Expert, Intermediate, and Beginner Modes are verified and validated in the next 2 weeks. Instructor will be using a DX9 with wireless buddy box to another DX9.
Three point main and tail wheel touchdowns will be the goal using Beginner Mode. Details will follow completion of flight testing.

Successful maiden using Apprentice S receiver.

First Test Flight/maiden today. 93F wind calm. Grass mowed short yesterday. Used full up for takeoff in Expert Mode and trimmed elevator for hands off. Landed and mechanically adjusted elevator Clevis for neutral elevator trim on DX9 instructor TX. Second takeoff used neutral elevator and the caused nose over and prop strike. This takeoff aborted due to cut grass getting caught between oversize 2.75 inch mains and wheel pants. Used Dremmel to route out 1/2" clearance between pants and tires so there is no more binding/braking. Removed 3 nylon landing gear bolts and filed the metal landing gear holes into slots that allow the gear to be placed about 1/8" forward. Now there is no tip over / prop strikes with neutral elevator and normal power advancement. Used 2 vise grips to put a slight left twist in tail wheel for straight tracking. Replaced stock wheel for bigger one.
Second trim flight tested in Beginner Mode and no trim required. Power off glide with elevator neutral or full up is very similar to Apprentice. Slight power on and full up elevator yields a stable touch down with tail wheel about 1/2-1 inch above ground.
Intermediate Mode tested with more roll, pitch and yaw availabl. Advanced Mode tested good with stall turns, loops, aileron rolls, knife edge, and good vertical acceleration with an 11/7 pulling 52 amps on a big 3S in the stock battery cradle. Exported T Clips SAFE file to SD card and imported the SD card file into student DX9 TX . Renamed T Clips SAFE student.
Wireless buddy box training to begin next week.
