Nope. Single bearing on each end of the stator.

Did you take the bearing out on the opposite side of the pic? that's where you'll find two together... stacked one ontop of the other in the sleeve.

Yes. Single on both ends.

I also took an SK3 apart and confirmed that it had a dual set on the front end.

You don't have to take the bearings out. With the help of a flashlight, they're plainly visible.

Darn that's unfortunate.. I'm sure the motor still performs great I just have a little less trust in it for the crazy gyroscopic stuff that I like to do.

I scare spectators with my shenanigans, and I've put quite a few flights on a couple of the Rockets with no bearing problems.

The weakness of cheapie motors seems to be magnet retention. I always add a coat of thin CA in between the magnets right out of the box. I figure it can't hurt.

I find it interesting that these two alternate motors we're taking about are rated so differently.

They appear to use the same 41x20 stator, same winding pattern based on what I can see, same # of magnet poles, the only difference is the turn count(which, if HP's # is accurate that puts the motor at ~490kv, perfect for this application).. They should both be "rated" to the same wattage then.. but one is rated to 1350 the other to 1700.

maybe their ratings are based on findings on their benches, not based on what they feel the motor can safely produce.

Yes, it is included in the graphics package. However, if you only want the decal shown on the top of my rudder, email Eric at B&E and he will sell you just that decal.
