I'm using a Shock Wave V2 module in one of them and a Mr. RC Sound V4.01 in the other one (I have both 190 versions) I'll post pics later

Hi all
Can somebody please clarify the motor mount situation on the FMS 1400 109?
The video from RCINFORMER -
Banana Hobby / FMS Messerschmitt BF-109 Review & Build Guide By Rich Baker in HD (59 min 38 sec)

shows a bent metal plate which the motor bolts to bu if you go on Motion RC and look at the spares page for the 109 it shows an X bracket for the motor like the P51 uses.
Which type of mount is used on the current model available?

I'm not having issues with the old style mount as the metal is a bit thicker than the early ones but I'm wondering if anyone has a pic and or do you know if the new style will mount to the older style fuse ?

I purchased mine December of 2014 and it came with the newer X-Mount configuration....and the thrust offset was largely removed. I shimmed the prop and nose cone to "Match" the contour of the original offset with some 4mm washers...then later removed the washers to set things back to its original delivery.

I like the way my airframe flies without shimming to match the firewall offset....at a very minimal offset

Well I bought the airframe only kit years ago and just got around to thinking about it again. I have a replacement 520kv motor for the older 109, Spitfire etc. how do you guys think this motor would fly this plane? I figure I could run it on 5s if need be...

The old Spitfire motor is no good for this plane. IMO.

I have the red 540kv. fly's with authority, scale like, but I would not call it fast. Got a gold 580 on the shelf, maybe someday If I get bored with it.
ff threw the beginning, should have clipped it a bit.
