Nitroplanes' Nitromodels 30cc Thunderbird
Hi there,
I recently bought a Nitrolanes 30cc Thunderbird. I'm quite pleased of the quality which is comparable to the one of my Redwing RC MXS-R I have.
I got it on President's Day with a 10% discount along with 5 HV Solar D771 servos for $286 shipping included. Will be using a PTE-36 on a 19x6 3D prop.
First impressions:
-Hinges are very tiny! Ordered some hobart 3/16 on ebay right away to replace
-missing one wing nylon screw
-nice aluminium servo arms but missing one if you go for dual elevator setup.
-missing the ball links and threaded rod also for dual elevator
-I doubt the stainless steel control horn held together by 3 self tappind screws will be strong enough, I might find something better.
-covering job is better than some PilotRC planes I see at the field, don't know if you can find replacement covering.
-Wheels are cheap looking foamy, I'll try and see how long they last
Will start building soon and put some pictures up!
Cheers
Hope this helps with your decision of getting one.
